Ergoplay guitar support – Just $33.99. Years of using a footstool can lead to serious problems with the back and hips. The best solution is a support, which elevates the guitar to a comfortable playing position while allowing you to keep both feet, flat on the floor. I often play 2-3 hours continuously. I have found the Ergoplay guitar support ($33.99) and the Gitano Guitar Support ($33.95), to be superior in operation to the other leading guitar supports. More and more I like the feel of the Ergoplay. I use Ergoplay exclusively for studio recording.
The main advantage of the Gitano over the Ergo-Play ($33.99) is that it folds tight to the guitar allowing easy storage. However the Ergoplay ($33.99), has a much more solid feel and attaches quite firmly with three suction cups. It also has bi-directional tilting for adjusting the height and the playing angle. It also has less of a tendency to slide on your leg. The Kling On Guitar Support Protector ($6.95) is suggested for use with matte finish guitars or French polished guitars. The Clingon's light non-permanent adhesion protects your guitar from suction cup rings and provides more stable contact. The Cling on ($6.95) can be removed and re-applied using a static charge, mild adhesive. This works with matte finishes. I have trouble keeping the suction cups on student's matte finish guitars and the Kling-on protectors work great. Two kling on protectors come in a package. The Ergoplay ($33.95) requires both pieces, as the suction cups are placed farther apart. I will continue with the Gitano for my working guitars that leave the house but for my practice guitar and my studio guitar I am using the Ergoplay. ($33.95)

I have tested the Dynarette knee cushion and found it cumbersome and difficult to store. I don’t need any added items in my gig bag. The Gitano Guitar Support fits in my guitar cases. I’m also able to keep it attached to my main classical guitar when it is in the case. Other cases are a bit tight and require placing the Gitano Guitar Support in the compartment under the neck or in the music sleeve.
I also tested the Arm-n-Track and while it was very comfortable, I found it difficult to remove and to store.
