That is what this CD is about. Sebber Larsen has that rare talent of hitting just the right note in the right time creating very catchy phrases. He has the same magic intonation on guitar that Jerry Lee Lewis has in singing. Also his sense of rhythm and timing is uncanny. The distinct and elegant rhythm guitars are another trademark of Sebber Larsen’s style. All good reasons for making this CD! Please listen if you can spot a string bursting somewhere. It was left in because the take was very good and secondly because if music gets too sanitized and overworked it looses the nerve. And nerve is what you get in abundance from S. Sebber Larsen. The drums are eased back. First of all it gives more headroom for the guitar and it gives the music a more timeless sound. Music is often smothered with drums, filling half the volume. Not here! An extra benefit of the soaring guitar is that you hear the noise of the fingers settling and lifting from the strings; it adds very much presence and ambience. Two sound machines were used for the guitar, Vox Tonelab and AdrenaLinn II. They are a cornucopia of great sounds which must also be said for the Roland Fantom synthesizer. The very beautiful Buck Owens telecaster gave the final touch! The silly pictures of Sebber Larsen goofing around only survived the process of production because it made him very happy! S.
